Clermont College
A typical tutoring session

At The Learning Center, tutoring is the name of the game!

The best students know to get help when they need it and how to make use of the right resources. The Learning Center has been used by thousands of UC Clermont students who recognize that they could use a little extra help to achieve their goals. Receiving tutoring is a responsible choice, demonstrating that students care about their academics enough to go that extra mile for their coursework.

Come to The Learning Center and meet our highly trained team of tutors who are ready, willing, and able to guide you to your academic destinations. If you have more questions about tutoring, stop by The Learning Center or check out our TLC Frequently Asked Questions page.

In partnership with the uptown campus, TLC is now offering online tutoring - see flier (pdf).

Etutoring, a program available to all UC Clermont students, is available in the following subjects: Math (through Calculus) and the beginning-level courses in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Etutoring is also available for writing assistance as well. So check out the service at the link below. Questions About Tutoring

What happens in a tutor session?
  • Upon walking in, students can ask the front desk assistant for tutoring in a particular subject.
  • When a student sits down with a tutor, the tutor works with the student to improve his or her understanding of the subject. This happens in many ways.
  • Many students only have quick questions regarding an assignment. In these situations, a tutor can work with a student to help discover answers.
  • Other students require more in-depth help with an essay, assignment, or concept. In these situations, tutor sessions can last between thirty minutes and an hour so that significant progress can be made.
  • After the session is over, students are expected to fill out a short form for data purposes. Afterwards, students are free to set up an appointment with the tutor at a later date.
