Clermont College
Faculty Working in TLC

The Learning Center is a prime location where students from nearly all courses gather to strengthen their academic skills. To contribute to this objective, we continually foster a strong relationship with UC Clermont faculty, so that we can support their students in the most effective manner possible.

Please take a few moments and review the information here to learn more about our services and form a positive working relationship with TLC.

TLC Class Visitations and Presentations

TLC professional and peer tutors have often been called to make class visitations or presentations. A class visitation consists of a TLC representative presenting pertinent TLC information to students, so they become familiar with what our center has to offer.

A class presentation is more focused on communicating subject content (such as constructing outlines, MLA format, or navigating math problems) to a course, so the students have a different voice/instruction style imparting content. Moreover, a class presentation could also consist of a TLC tutor assisting the instructor during a peer review, workshop, seminar, or other group-oriented lesson.

If you are interested in setting up a class visitation or presentation, email Pam Mavi at pam.mavi@uc.edu

Volunteer at TLC

Over the years, many instructors have donated one hour or more in our center to tutor students. If you are interested in strengthening our services and volunteering some time at TLC, please email Pam Mavi at pam.mavi@uc.edu. Since The Learning Center strives to assist students in all subjects, all instructors are invited to help out.
