CPR and AED: American Heart Association guidelines for 1 rescuer CPR, adult and child 2 rescuers CPR, adult and child Mouth to mask Bag valve mask Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Conscious choking adult, child and infant Unconscious choking adult, child and infant Infant one and two rescuer CPR Chain of survival for adults Chain of survival for infants Instructor: Carolyn Vining, REMTP, EMSI, is a field service instructor for the paramedic program at UC Clermont College.
First Aid: Skills for responding and managing first aid incidents until the life squad arrives. Covered in the class is bleeding control, shock management, splinting, spinal immobilization, bloodborne pathogens, scene safety, communication with EMS and any necessary documentation. Medical problems with breathing issues, seizures, allergic reactions, poisoning, cold and hot emergencies and environmental issues also are covered.
