The database includes 17 Ohio newspapers, plus other major newspapers from other states. Content includes local and regional news, including community events, schools, politics, government policies, cultural activities, local companies, state industries, and people in the community. Paid advertisements are excluded.

Includes coverage of the most current and controversial issues of the day with complete summaries, insight into all sides of the issues, bibliographies and more. Search for past articles by words, dates, and/or subject. (CQ Weekly = Congressional activities.)

TOPIC search

SIRS Researcher on the Web

Facts.com (http://www.2facts.com) A weekly digest of world news. Contains some information on controversial subjects.

The sets of books listed below can be found by performing a KEYWORD search in the online catalog() for the title that is in bold print. You may also limit your location to “Clermont”. However, be aware that this limit would eliminate electronic books and resources from the results.

Contemporary World Issues These books are written by professional writers, scholars and other experts.  Titles are also available online.  Each volume covers a current hot topic.  Also available online.

Information Series on Current Topics  These books deal with current topics, providing a useful overview.

Library in a Book Each volume gives an objective overview of the topic and further information in a variety of formats. It also provides an extensive section on additional sources of information.

Opposing Viewpoints Each book in this series presents varied opinions on a single issue. The books contain writings by prominent spokespeople on different sides of each issue as well as other well known professionals.

Taking Sides Provides a pro and con opinion for a wide variety of controversial societal and economic issues. A search will list some electronic resources.
