You may perform a KEYWORD search in the online catalog (http://uclid.uc.edu/search) using concepts that interest you, such as:
From the results, identify an item or two that is most relevant to your topic; look at the item record and identify a SUBJECT heading that best represents your topic. In this case the SUBJECT would be “Painting, Renaissance—Italy.”
You may also search an artist as a SUBJECT (last name, first name).
You may limit your location to Clermont, but be aware that this may eliminate important resources that can be easily borrowed from another library. Other examples of SUBJECT headings are:
Art |
Art -- 16th century | Art -- 19th century |
Art -- France (or any country name) |
Art, American (or other culture) | Art -- History |
