Once you log in, you will be returned to the library homepage. You know you are in the proxy server when the word "proxy" appears somewhere in the URL (e.g. http://proxy.libraries.uc.edu/). As you navigate to the online resource that you are interested in using, but you no longer have "proxy" in the URL, you may have fallen out of the proxy server. Just log in again.

Journal Articles
Access online scholarly journal articles by searching in Summon, or in the individual database most appropriate for your topic and then limiting your search results to “full text.” You can access Summon as well as the A-Z List of databases available to UC affiliates via our Find Articles page. Your librarians have created Subject and Class Guides that will lead you to appropriate databases in many areas of study.

E-Books
UC Libraries and OhioLINK provide access to a large number of full-text electronic books:

• OhioLINK Electronic Books Center – This is a scholarly and reference e-book collection including publishers such as: ABC-CLIO, Thomson Gale, Oxford University Press, Sage and Springer.
• NetLibrary, now EBSCOhost E-Book Collection
• Databases Containing E-Books – Links to 80 databases that contain full-text e-books.
  

E-Reference Resources
Find online encyclopedias, dictionaries, thesauri, style guides, almanacs, and other reference material.

E-Journals
Use the Electronic Journal Finder to search for a journal by the title of the journal.

OhioLINK Digital Media Center
Audio, video and image collections provided by OhioLINK.

Library Toolbars and Widgets
The Library Toolbar acts as a companion to Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browsers. The toolbar allows you to search UC's online catalog, other library search engines, and go to links for other library related applications quickly, right from your browser.

The UC Libraries Widget is a self-contained application that you can embed into your personal web space on sites such as Facebook and iGoogle. It provides quick and easy access to frequently used library search tools and information.
