Established by Ohio lawmakers in 1989, the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options Program (PSEOP) enables qualified high school students in grades 9-12 to take college courses for which they can earn both high school and college credit.

PSEOP Objectives:

1.) to help students increase their readiness for and access to college;

2.) to help students decrease the overall cost of their college education;

3.) to help students decrease the time it takes to earn their college degree.

 

PSEOP ADMISSION PROCESS

FALL SEMESTER 2014

Deadline Step-by-Step Process
February and March Step 1:  Collect and review information about PSEOP.
by March 30 Step 2:  Notify your high school that you plan to participate in PSEOP sometime during the next academic year.
by April 2 Step 3: Work with your high school guidance counselor to complete and submit your UC Clermont PSEOP application materials.

Remember to include the following:

  1. a properly signed application;
  2. a $50 application fee
    (make check payable to the University of Cincinnati);
  3. an official transcript from every high school/college that you have attended;
  4. a course advising form (optional).

April - June Step 4:  Take the required UC Clermont Placement Tests. [NOTE: Dr. Clark will send you a letter that identifies the testing dates available for prospective PSEOP students.]
by early August You should receive a PSEOP acceptance or denial letter.
June – August Step 5:  Attend a mandatory PSEOP Orientation.

Prior to the orientation: Select your 14FS course(s).

At the orientation: Get your confirmed 14FS schedule and learn more about PSEOP at UC Clermont.

August 25 Step 6:  Begin your Fall Semester classes at UC Clermont.
