What is Physician Practice Management : Distance Learning?

This certificate helps prepare students to sit for the Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM®) credential. This credential is a logical next step for those with experience in healthcare and other areas who are ready to advance their careers in physician practice management. Current practice managers will also benefit from this certification with increased knowledge and validation of their knowledge and experience in this skilled profession.

Success Factors

A physician practice manager has both expansive and detailed responsibilities involving management of the revenue cycle, health information, human resources and office technology.

CPPMs have a good understanding of:

  • Health care regulations and processes
  • Fraud, abuse, and corporate compliance
  • Quality in health care
  • Medical office accounting, physician reimbursement, and revenue cycle management
  • Human resource management
  • Marketing and business relationships

UC Clermont has one of the lowest tuitions for online studies. In addition, this certificate is approved for financial aid, dependent on student eligibility. Course scheduling is flexible as students may attend full-time or part-time with admission into the certificate program in any semester (fall, spring or summer).

Application Deadlines

Each semester has an application deadline of approximately four weeks before es begin to allow for timely paperwork and financial aid processing.
