Academic Affairs

The Office of Academic Affairs at UC Clermont College is responsible for oversight of all academic functions of the College. We work with the college's five academic departments on program development, student outcomes assessment, program assessment, data collection and analysis, outreach, and course scheduling. The Library, Learning Center, Experiential Learning and Career Development, Testing Center, the College Success Program, and the Business and Educational Outreach Office are part of Academic Affairs as well.

Mission and Values

Academic Affairs is at the core of UC Clermont College’s mission of open-access, student-centered education. We model positive, supportive relationships and offer intentional, cohesive support for faculty and student academic excellence. We value innovative and diverse approaches to student success, persistence and completion.

High Impact Practices

The best undergraduate educations include High Impact Practices, a range of experiences within and beyond the classroom that enhance course work for students. The American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U) says that research on high-impact practices proves that students who are engaged in at least one of these practices are more likely to succeed in college.

Clermont College offers the following High Impact Practices to students:

  • First Year Experience courses
  • Writing Intensive Courses
  • Collaborative Assignments and Projects
  • Undergraduate Research
  • Diversity/Global Learning
  • Service Learning and Community-Based Learning
  • Internships
  • Capstone Courses and Projects
