Bearcat Online Email: is primarily an Internet-based E-mail System that provides anti-spam, anti-virus, auto-reply, calendar, user-defined filter, forward, IMAP, POP, and Web-mail services. The system is free to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Cincinnati. Student quotas are allocated 30 megabytes of disk space on the server. Full-time faculty and staff are allocated 100 megabytes of disk space on the server.
Web Access: Bearcat Online Email is web enabled. Mobile users can access their mail accounts on BOL using Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator or Opera. Visit http://email.uc.edu to login to your account.

Wireless On-Campus Services The college provides wireless network access across approximately 95% of campus. This network allows faculty, staff and students to access internet websites including Bearcat Online for email and Blackboard. Gaining access is as simple as following the steps outlined below.
All PCMCIA or internal wireless cards must support 128 bit encryption and open authentication.
The current wireless environment at Clermont is 802.11b/g compliant allowing for data transmission between the workstation and wireless access points at 11 - 54mb.

Remote Access Off-Campus Services UCRA is a service provided by UC Office of Information Technologies (UCit) and is available, free of charge, to any UC registered student, faculty, and staff. UCRA provides the UC community with home access (from the local Cincinnati calling area) to the UC Network (UCNet) and the Internet using a computer and a standard telephone line. UCRA is a dial-up access modem pool that includes modem and network equipment from Bay Networks and digital phone lines. Twenty-two digital T1 circuits provide simultaneous connections to 528 modems that are divided into two separate partitions: a student partition and a faculty/staff partition.
The student partition has 168 modems/lines with a common overflow of 48 modems/lines, and can be accessed via phone number 861-9501. The student partition is ITIE funded and faculty/staff are prohibited from using these lines.
The faculty/staff partition has 120 modem/lines with a common overflow of 48 modems/lines, and can be accessed from home via phone number 861-9503.
