We realize that it is not always easy to work with personal schedules and find "extra time" for service. In working for TLC, you are joining a team of professional staff that provides tutoring in core subjects, facilitate supplemental study groups, and teach basic skills courses. The Center has many resources at your disposal, such as written texts, computer software, audio and video equipment, that encompass various modes of learning.
The Learning Center peer tutors are selected upon recommendation from faculty members after having satisfied specific skills and abilities required in each class. Our ongoing training will further equip you to provide quality tutoring service, which is the hallmark of TLC. This service is the main reason for students using our facilities along with the stress-free environment we try to maintain. Our experience has shown that on average, students who use TLC make better grades. Being students yourselves, you understand the implications of striving for and maintaining a good GPA, particularly for future success.
As an integral member of TLC's staff you will gain a sense of achievement both in providing a humanitarian service and in witnessing the impact of that service on others.
