Books, Reference and Media

The Clermont College Library has a variety of sources available for browsing in the reference and circulating collections. Most can be found in the H range of the reference section.  The HB -- HJ sections are focused more on economics, but may contain useful information on specific economic related topics (i.e., insurance or jobs).  Other sections reflect other sociology topics, for example:

Sociology

HM

Social Reform

HN

Family

HQ

Race

HT

A more effective way to find resources on your topic of interest is to use the online catalog(http://uclid.uc.edu/search/X) to find items using key concepts, for example:  class AND gender.  Identify an item or two that is most relevant to your topic, look at the item record and identify the subject heading that best represents your selected concept.  Some suggested subject headings:

Applied Sociology
Alienation
CRIME--Sociological aspects
Communism
Marxism
Post Modernism

You may also limit your location to “Clermont”. However, be aware that this limit would eliminate electronic books and resources from the results.
