Meagan Ooten joined the Clermont coaching staff in 2006 as a volunteer graduate assistant. She attended UC Clermont and earned degrees in Computer Information Systems and Interactive Multimedia Web Design. The Felicity-Franklin High School alumnus currently works for the school in the Enrollment/Student Services Office.
Coach Ooten played three seasons for the Cougars’ volleyball team. She filled both Outside and Middle Hitter roles, but was best known for her outstanding passing ability. In 2003, Coach Ooten earned an Honorable Mention All-Conference award in the ORCC. She followed this achievement in 2004 with a First Team All-Conference selection. During this same academic year, Coach Ooten was named the UC Clermont Female Student/Athlete of the Year. She culminated her career in 2006 by being inducted into the UC Clermont Athletic Hall of Fame.
Coach Ooten is quite familiar with the Cougars’ system of play and is expected to be an asset in the development of the team’s passers.
