Assistant Coach - Whitney Brown
Year:  First

Whitney Brown joined the UC Clermont volleyball program as a player in the summer of 2004. During her three year career with the Cougars, she won many awards and honors. Twice she was named a USCAA All-American (2005 & 2006). Coach Brown was also voted ORCC First Team All-Conference three years (2004-2006) – including the conference Most Valuable Player in 2005. She was a member of three ORCC championship teams and served as captain for two of those squads. Coach Brown was also a member of the first UC Clermont volleyball team to qualify for the USCAA National Championship tournament. At the conclusion of the 2005/2006 academic year, Coach Brown was named UC Clermont’s Female Student/Athlete of the Year for her success both in the classroom and on the volleyball court.  In 2008, she was inducted into the U.C. Clermont Athletic Hall of Fame.

Before coming to UC Clermont, Coach Brown enjoyed a stellar prep career at Williamsburg High School. As a member of the Williamsburg volleyball team, she was voted First Team All-Conference three times. During two of those years she was also the conference Most Valuable Player. Coach Brown also twice received First Team All-City honors, won various scholar/athlete awards and was a member of the National Honor Society.

Coach Brown is quite familiar with the offensive and defensive systems used at U.C. Clermont from her days as a player.  She is also an excellent teacher and will be instrumental in developing both the technical abilities and tactical knowledge of the Cougar volleyball squad.
